Tax, Customs & Delivery
Taxes, Customs and Delivery
Our products are shipped worldwide directly from TST headquarters in Shanghai, therefore any taxes (Sales tax, Consumption Tax, etc.) imposed by the Chinese Administration have already been paid by us prior to the shipment of your parcel.
A value-added tax (VAT), also known in some countries as a goods and services tax (GST), is a type of tax that is assessed incrementally, based on the increase in value of a product or service at each stage of production or distribution. VAT/GST is usually implemented as a destination-based tax, where the tax rate is based on the location of the consumer and applied to the sales price.
If you live in a country that happens to impose a customs duty or VAT/GST tax on tea leaves (or any of our other products), you may have to pay the VAT/GST upon receipt of your order.
Delivery and Customs
Most of our parcels are delivered internationally by DHL Express. We have no control over the policies of all the courier companies, and no control of delivery times. We provide our shipping services "as is", and once we drop parcels to the related courier company, we can no longer be held responsible for delivery.
It is the "purchaser's" responsibility to clear shipments held by local custom offices. We can not provide any assistance for parcels held in customs in your country.
There may also be additional charges for customs clearance or additional delivery/duty fees as imposed by your country for which we will NOT BE responsible. However, we will try our very best to avoid taxes and/or duties for your parcels from your custom
